The Christians' perspectives of marriage, divorce, and remarriage range from unimportant to unforgivable, based mostly on who taught them and their own nuptial status. A classic example was a man who was married at 16, divorced at 18 and was convicted of murder at 27. Just prior to his conviction and subsequent imprisonment, he was wonderfully saved. While in jail he began an effective prison ministry to the other inmates through preaching, witnessing, regular Bible studies, and soul winning. Two years later, at 29, he was rebuked by a representative of a well-known, international prison ministry, who told him that he was unqualified for the ministry, only that horrible divorce! Don't be deceived by the "well meaning" brethren. Find out what God says, after all; that is the only thing that really counts!
